Owners of fan-equipped Apple-silicon Macs can help qualify safe fan control. Owners of fanless Apple-silicon Macs can help verify model identification and temperature-sensor coverage. Applications are grouped by exact model and testing track.
Tester reward
Complete either accepted testing track. Get Smart Breeze's full release free.
Accepted Testers who complete an assigned plan in good faith earn one personal license for Smart Breeze's first paid full release. Applying alone does not qualify; the Beta Terms define the benefit and exclusions.
Cohorts are chosen by hardware coverage and safety readiness, not invitation status.
An Apple-silicon Mac, either fan-equipped or fanless
macOS 13 or later
Ownership of the Mac, or authorization to test it and install a helper if assigned
Accurate model identifier, chip, macOS, and built-in fan details
Willingness to complete the assigned checklist and report negative results honestly
Fan-equipped control qualification
For Macs with at least one built-in fan. Testing starts with read-only diagnostics, then advances only through a guided exact-model plan covering control, rollback, helper failure, sleep/wake, and verified return to System.
Fanless sensor compatibility
For Macs with no built-in fans, including MacBook Air. The plan verifies exact-model reporting, available CPU, GPU, memory, battery, and hottest-temperature readings, plus refresh and sleep/wake behavior. This track never enables or tests fan control.

No invitation, payment, account, serial number, or automatic app telemetry.
How hardware testing works
Step 1
Model and track application
Your built-in fan selection assigns the fan-equipped control or fanless sensor track without changing the app on your Mac.
Step 2
Confirm and receive your plan
Selected applicants verify their email, then written acceptance identifies the exact model, testing track, required plan, expected time, and completion date. Every assigned plan begins with a read-only preflight.
Step 3
Complete the assigned track
Fanless plans verify temperature coverage and sleep/wake behavior. Fan-control plans add guided Smart Boost, Max, Manual, rollback, and System-handoff checks.
Step 4
Receive the full release
After Smart Breeze confirms good-faith completion, the tester earns one complimentary personal license for the first paid full release. Negative results and required safety stops still count.
