Safe removal
Remove Smart Breeze without guessing about fan ownership
Smart Breeze deliberately verifies the return to macOS before removing the privileged helper. Registration or token deletion alone is not proof of a safe handoff.
Uninstall
- Open Smart Breeze and select System.
- Wait until Smart Breeze reports that all fans are verified under macOS control.
- Choose Settings → Fan Control → Remove Fan Helper and approve the request.
- Wait while Smart Breeze verifies System control, unregisters the service, and removes both authorization-token copies.
- Turn off Open Smart Breeze at login.
- Quit Smart Breeze and move /Applications/Smart Breeze.app to the Trash.
If removal cannot finish
- If macOS disabled the helper, re-enable Smart Breeze under Login Items and retry removal.
- If the helper is not registered, choose Install Fan Helper, then retry removal.
- If the app bundle is incomplete, replace it with a complete copy, install the helper, and retry.
- If the helper remains unreachable, restart your Mac, reopen Smart Breeze, and retry.
Important
Do not delete the app while a manual target may still be active or Smart Breeze says ownership is unverified.
